How are we celebrating our new logo and website here at SoCo Events?  By giving back to the  community, of course!  All brides that book their full-service* 2013 wedding with us during December 2012, will have the option of selecting a charity that is near and dear to their hearts.  SoCo Events will donate $500.00 in the name(s) of the Bride and Groom to the charity of their choosing on their wedding day! View December Give-Back details below.

How does the SoCo Events December Charity Give-Back Program work?
Each client that books full-service* wedding services with SoCo Events on/after December 1, 2012 through on/before December 31, 2012 will be able to select a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to receive a donation. There is no additional cost to the Client.  SoCo Events will make the donation to the selected charity in the name of the bride and groom.  SoCo Events pays for the entire donation as our way of saying thank you for using our service.

How much is donated to my selected charity?
The Client’s selected charity will receive a $500.00 donation from SoCo Events.

When will the charity get the donation?
The selected charity can expect to receive the donation in the form of a check within 30 days of the Client’s wedding date.

Will the donations be tax deductible?
No. Since SoCo Events is making the donation, the Client cannot claim it as a tax deduction.

Can I choose more than one charity?
You may only choose up to two registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations as the recipient of the donation.  If you select two charities, the total donation amount will be split 50/50.

What is my role in the SoCo Events December Charity Give-Back Program?
The only documentation that SoCo Events will need from you is proof that your selected charity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  This form can be obtained by contacting the charity directly and asking them to forward proof of their tax-exempt status to you.  Please make sure they include the appropriate mailing address and contact information for the donation check.  You will then provide this information to SoCo Events.
